Rosie's Southside Animal Shelter adopted out Ophelia as a puppy and less than a year later she was returned. Ophelia, a 2-year-old Cattledog and Pittie mix, was very nervous and not doing well in the shelter. We quickly determined that Ophelia would do best in a home that would build her confidence and be understanding of her needs. The shelter staff and volunteers spent endless hours working with her and made countless social media posts trying to find her forever family. In September, Ophelia went to a board and train to take a break from the shelter and to continue to build her confidence. After 10 long months and being our longest resident dog, Ophelia was adopted in October during Subaru Loves Pets! Her new home has everything she could ask for and more; her own indoor swimming pool, a big dog brother to play with her and teach her more manners, a big yard to play in and a teenage baseball player to throw the ball with her. She truly was an underdog for 10 long months and now is living her best life. All of us at Rosie's Southside Animal Shelter believe this to be a true love story with the best ending! The shelter would like to thank Andy Thimlar and the entire team at Dreyer & Reinbold Subaru of Greenwood.

We are so thankful to everyone at Dreyer Reinbold Subaru for making this event possible. Because of YOU over 100 children in foster/kinship care were able to receive NEW shoes (and socks). So many times, when kids come into foster care their shoes are in a state of disrepair. All of the children were so excited to get quality NEW items in their favorite color. One little girl commented that she had never received a pair of shoes "with tags" before. She will never forget that YOU were part of the team that made her first NEW pair of new shoes happen. With Indiana ranking #7 in the US for the number of kids in foster care, it really does take all of us coming together to provide essential items for these kids. The warmest, heartfelt THANK YOU to Andy and everyone at Dreyer Reinbold Subaru for making this happen. Thank you, for being part of our village.

Jan 8, 2024 Dear Friends at Dreyer & Reinbold Subaru, On behalf of the entire team at the Interchurch Food Pantry of Johnson County, I want to extend our heartfelt thanks for your generosity and unwavering support. Your very gracious donation of 631 pounds of food is a lifeline for countless families within our community, and it will leave a lasting mark in the year ahead. Thanks to donors like you, we've been able to provide essential food assistance for 36,469 household visits in 2023, even more than our record year of 2022. The need continues as the high cost of living exceeds the incomes for so many in our community. Our dedicated volunteers work tirelessly, providing drive-through food distribution services five days a week, along with two Saturdays each month. We also engage in food rescue efforts to supplement our food purchases. This year, we've faced soaring food costs due to the rising demand for our services. Your generous donation enables us to make a tangible difference in the lives of those who are grappling with food insecurity. We have served the Johnson County community for the past 40 years and look forward to continuing to be a beacon of hope for those in need. Your vital contribution has played a pivotal role in our mission to combat hunger, and we remain profoundly grateful for your unwavering commitment. Once again, we extend our deepest gratitude for your generosity and for joining us in our mission to create a positive impact in our community. Your support is truly a blessing. Warm regards, Carol Phipps Executive Director Interchurch Food Pantry of Johnson County

The Refuge is a faith based non-profit food pantry. We strive to offer our families not only food, but love and support. We meet with them face to face each visit and spend time investing in their lives and praying with them. We offer food, hygiene items, diapers, etc.... We want to not only be a place passing out food, but a ministry that spreads the word of God and helps our community come together to assist those in need. We see quite a few homeless people, so your donation of socks to our organization is such a blessing! We look forward to this partnership continuing and growing in the future. Special thank-you to Andy!!

In early August 2022, a concerned citizen found a stray dog wandering a busy street and brought her to Rosieās Southside Animal Shelter. Upon intake staff quickly identified that Bunny, 1-year old Great Pyrenees was severely underweight. After several months of working on helping her to gain weight, she was on the right track for adoption in October. Through our partnership with Dreyer & Reinbold Subaru of Greenwood, we hosted a Make A Dogās Day event at Rosieās Southside Animal Shelter: 1614 W Edgewood Ave. At the event we passed out Subaru Bark Boxes, each dog received a Chewbaru, customers enjoyed the food cart, and had an opportunity to meet all our adoptable dogs. After the exposure from the adoption event, Bunny found her forever home. She is now living her best life with her forever family! Rosieās Southside Animal Shelter would like to thank Andy Thilmar and Dreyer & Reinbold Subaru of Greenwood.

We partnered with Subaru loves pets 31 pets in 31 days in October. It was a great success. Tanner came to us when this very active hound mix puppy was just too much for his family. Tanner was just exhibiting normal active puppy behavior. A family came in and adopted him and returned him for being too active again. We had a nice couple come in and they were willing to take the necessary time and effort to train Tanner. They have all settled in and are very happy family now!

We partnered with Subaru loves pets 31 pets in 31 days in October. It was a great success. One story that stands out to us is Mr. Bojangles. He is a feisty kitten and was getting passed up for the more lovable ones. Roman and his mom frequently volunteer at the shelter. Romans dog had recently passed away. He connected with Mr. Bojangles and they became immediate friends. Of course Roman knew he had to take Mr. Bojangles home. Mr. Bojangles feistiness somehow subsided in Romans arms.

I wish I had pictures of a completed garden to send you! It is coming together it's just that when we received your offer to help us, things started to come together and it has taken on a life of its own! I actually have a meeting tomorrow morning about the next phase of our project actually breaking ground and construction! The sketch will be a little different when we actually plant. When this was drawn up, we didn't know what plants you were going to bless us with yet those obviously will be included! I love what you're doing with sending visitors out to a school. It would be awesome to have them with us for a ribbon cutting ceremony, don't you think?! I'll keep you posted on our progress. Thank you so much!
